Live Free Trainings Virtual Yoga Teacher Training program offers it’s participants an opportunity to take a deep dive into yoga philosophy and the benefits yoga has to offer for your heart, soul, mind and strength. This 11-week online program will give it’s participants a strong understanding of yoga, pose alignment & common injuries, meditation, trauma sensitivity, and inclusion concepts. Together, we’ll study yoga philosophy in depth including energy concepts like mantras, mudras, kriyas, and chakras. We offer an opportunity to learn how to view these concepts through a lens of faith as we walk through them. We’ll emphasize community, relationship building, common teaching language, and knowledge of the history of yoga. Anatomy & physiology understanding is weaved throughout the program so participants not only acknowledge the alignment of poses, but the places that may make their students vulnerable to injury. Our lead trainer, Jonnie Goodmanson E-RYT 500, holds a master’s degree in exercise science. She was an injury rehabilitation specialist in the massage and bodywork industry for 22 years, and is a certified rehab specialist through ACE Fitness for the knees and low back. At Live Free Trainings we believe yoga should be accessible to every body! For this reason, we keep the cost of our training low, the pace at an easily digestible level, offer education of common alignment injuries with direction on how to offer multiple alternatives if one wants to modify the shape
