Live Free Yoga Teacher Training is a Yoga Alliance approved virtual and in person yoga teacher training program. This training offers its participants an opportunity to take a deep dive into yoga philosophy and the benefits yoga has to offer for your heart, soul, mind and strength. This 11-week online and in-person program will give it’s participants a strong understanding of yoga, pose alignment & common injuries, meditation, trauma sensitivity, and inclusion concepts. Together, we’ll study yoga philosophy in depth including energy concepts like mantras, mudras, kriyas, and chakras. We offer an opportunity to learn how to view these concepts through a lens of faith as we walk through them. You can attend totally online, or choose the hybrid option (only 12 spots available). If you choose the online only option, all classes are online. If you choose the hybrid option 7 of the 11 weeks are in person, with only 4 classes live online.

We’ll emphasize community, relationship building, common teaching language, and knowledge of the history of yoga. Anatomy & physiology understanding is weaved throughout the program so participants not only acknowledge the alignment of poses, but the places that may make their students vulnerable to injury. Our lead trainer, Jonnie Goodmanson E-RYT 500, holds a master’s degree in exercise science. She was an injury rehabilitation specialist in the massage and bodywork industry for 22 years, and is a certified rehab specialist through ACE Fitness for the knees and low back, and a 500 Hour E-RYT with Yoga Alliance.

At Live Free Trainings we believe yoga should be accessible to every body! For this reason, we keep the cost of our training low, the pace at an easily digestible level, offer education of common alignment injuries with direction on how to offer multiple alternatives if one wants to modify the shape of a pose. Additionally, we cover how to make your classes trauma sensitive in depth so anyone can feel comfortable in your class, regardless of life experience. Learning to become a safe place for all people to learn they are loved, seen, and important is an art. An art that yoga teaches beautifully. Let’s study together and start making the world a safer place, one class at a time.
