This 8-week guided program offers those interested in anatomy and physiology as it relates to fitness and yoga. With a combination of lectures and classroom experience this training will cover all the basics and some advanced concepts related to chronic holding patterns, anatomical terms, musculoskeletal anatomy, pose breakdown and much more: Week 1: Anatomical Nomenclature Week 2: The Anatomy of the Mind-Body Connection Week 3: The Fundamental Lines Week 4: Joint Anatomy Week 5: Tissue Types and Functions Week 6: The Cardiorespiratory System Week 7: Foundational Movements Part 1 & 2 Week 8: Integration of Spirituality This self-study moves at your pace and you can return to work on it when it works for you! You do not need to be a fitness professional to take or understand this content! My goal is for this information to be helpful in your own fitness journey and provide you with accurate information so your movement is as healthy as possible. Upon completion of this program, you'll have foundational knowledge to guide yourself or others through excellent techniques in movement for injury reduction and quality of exercise. This program is a great compliment to any 200-hour yoga teacher training or group fitness instructor certification. This program provides 40 hours of continuing education credits for Yoga Alliance (synchronous and asynchronous hours).
